90th Field Artillery Battalion 1940–1947 (World War II) The 90th Field Artillery Battalion was constituted on 1 October 1933 in the Regular Army and later activated on 1 June 1941 at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. During World War II, the battalion was assigned to the 25th Infantry Division and served in the Pacific Theater. It participated in major campaigns including Guadalcanal, Northern Solomons, and Luzon. The battalion provided critical artillery support during these operations, contributing to the division’s combat effectiveness. Following the end of hostilities, the 90th Field Artillery Battalion was inactivated on 1 November 1945 in Japan.
