This policy explains what information yeagermilitaria.com collects, why, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect what you send us through the contact form, we use it to answer you, and we don't sell it or share it with anyone who doesn't need it to run the site.
Who we are
Yeager Militaria is a personal collecting site run by Tom Yeager in the United States. It exists to catalog and share a collection of military insignia, to make research on those items available, and to connect with other collectors for discussion and trading. It is not a store, and nothing is sold through this site.

What we collect
Information you send us. If you use the contact or inquiry form, we receive whatever you enter — typically your name, your email address, and the content of your message. If you write to us by email instead, we receive your email address and message the same way. We ask only for what we need to reply; please don't send us sensitive personal details we haven't asked for.
Basic technical information. Like nearly every website, our hosting provider automatically records standard server log data when a page is requested: IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, and the date and time. This is a byproduct of serving the site and is used for security and troubleshooting, not to build a profile of you.
What we don't collect. We don't run advertising trackers or third-party marketing pixels. We don't require accounts. There is no cart, checkout or payment processing on this site, so we never see or handle payment card details. Items offered for sale are listed on eBay, under eBay's policies rather than ours.
How we use it
- To read and respond to your inquiry.
- To keep a record of our correspondence with you, in case you follow up later.
- To keep the site running, secure, and free of abuse.
- To meet legal, tax or recordkeeping obligations where they apply.
We do not use your information to send marketing you didn't ask for, and we don't add people to mailing lists because they contacted us.
What we never do
We do not sell, rent, trade or otherwise commercialize your personal information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We do not use it to train artificial intelligence systems.
Who else sees it
Only providers that need access to operate the site, and only for that purpose:
- Replit, which hosts the site and processes form submissions in transit.
- Resend, which delivers and stores the messages you send us.
We may also disclose information if we are legally required to — for example in response to a valid subpoena or court order — or where necessary to protect our rights, safety, or property, or those of others.
Cookies
We use only cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to function, if any are set at all. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Your browser lets you block or delete cookies; doing so will not prevent you from using this site.
Links to other sites
Our pages link to eBay listings and cite outside reference sources. Once you follow a link off yeagermilitaria.com, you are on someone else's site under someone else's policy. Anything you do on eBay — browsing, bidding, buying, messaging — is governed by the eBay User Privacy Notice, not by this one.
How long we keep it
We keep correspondence for as long as it is useful to the inquiry or the relationship it belongs to, and then delete it. Server logs are retained for a short period by our host for security and diagnostic purposes and then discarded on their normal schedule. If you'd like your correspondence deleted sooner, ask us and we'll do it.
Your choices and rights
Whoever and wherever you are, you can ask us to:
- tell you what information of yours we hold;
- correct anything inaccurate;
- delete it.
Email info@yeagermilitaria.com and we'll handle it, normally within 30 days. We won't treat you differently for asking.
Depending on where you live — California, other US states with comprehensive privacy laws, the UK, the EU, or Canada — you may have additional statutory rights, including the right to object to or restrict certain processing and the right to complain to your data protection authority. We honor these requests regardless of whether a particular law formally applies to us.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and access to our email and site administration is protected by strong, unique credentials and multi-factor authentication. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so please don't send us anything highly sensitive through a web form.
Children
This site is intended for adult collectors and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If our practices change, we'll update this page and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be made here before the change takes effect.
