Unit History

The 341st Field Artillery Regiment was constituted on 5 August 1917 in the National Army and assigned to the 89th Division. It was organized at Camp Funston, Kansas, and served during World War I, participating in the Meuse-Argonne and Lorraine campaigns. The regiment was demobilized on 2 June 1919 at Camp Funston. It was reconstituted on 24 June 1921 in the Organized Reserves as the 341st Field Artillery and assigned again to the 89th Division. The unit underwent several reorganizations and redesignations throughout its history, including service during World War II.
