Unit History

The 32nd Tank Company was a unit of the United States Army National Guard. It was organized and federally recognized on 1 April 1921 at Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The company was an element of the 32nd Division, which was later redesignated as the 32nd Infantry Division. The 32nd Tank Company was inducted into federal service on 15 October 1940 at Milwaukee as part of the pre-World War II mobilization. In 1942, the company was redesignated as Company D, 192nd Tank Battalion, and participated in the defense of the Philippines during the early stages of World War II.
