Unit History

The 135th Medical Regiment was constituted in the National Guard on 1 October 1921 and assigned to the 35th Division. It was organized and federally recognized on 1 November 1921 with headquarters at St. Louis, Missouri. The regiment provided medical support and services to the division, including field medical care and evacuation. During World War II, the 135th Medical Regiment was reorganized and redesignated as the 110th Medical Battalion on 1 March 1942, as part of the Army’s transition to a more flexible and mobile divisional structure.
