10 Field Hospital 1940–1947 (World War II) The 10th Field Hospital was constituted on 23 June 1942 and activated on 25 August 1942 at Camp Barkeley, Texas. During World War II, the unit provided essential medical support in the European Theater of Operations, treating wounded soldiers close to the front lines. The hospital participated in several campaigns, including Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes-Alsace, and Central Europe. Following the end of hostilities, the 10th Field Hospital was inactivated on 28 November 1945 in Germany.
