Unit History
The 12th Field Artillery Regiment was constituted on 1 July 1916 in the Regular Army and organized on 7 June 1917 at Fort Myer, Virginia. The regiment served with distinction during World War I as part of the 2nd Division, participating in major campaigns including Aisne, Aisne-Marne, St. Mihiel, Meuse-Argonne, and Lorraine 1918.
