364th Infantry Regiment 1914–1921 (World War I) The 364th Infantry Regiment was constituted on 5 August 1917 in the National Army and assigned to the 91st Division. Organized at Camp Lewis, Washington, the regiment deployed to France as part of the American Expeditionary Forces. It participated in major campaigns including the Meuse-Argonne Offensive and the Ypres-Lys Offensive. Following the Armistice, the regiment returned to the United States and was demobilized at Camp Dix, New Jersey, on 30 April 1919. 1940–1947 (World War II) The 364th Infantry Regiment was reactivated on 15 August 1942 at Camp Adair, Oregon, as part of the 91st Infantry Division. After training in the United States, the regiment deployed to the Mediterranean Theater, participating in the Italian Campaign. The 364th saw combat in the North Apennines and Po Valley campaigns, contributing to the Allied advance in Italy. The regiment was inactivated on 1 December 1945 at Camp Rucker, Alabama, following the end of hostilities.
