Unit History

The 364th Infantry Regiment was constituted on 5 August 1917 in the National Army and assigned to the 91st Division. It was organized at Camp Lewis, Washington, and participated in major campaigns during World War I, including the Meuse-Argonne Offensive and the Ypres-Lys Offensive. After the war, the regiment was demobilized in 1919. The 364th Infantry Regiment was reconstituted in the Organized Reserves in 1921 and assigned again to the 91st Division. During World War II, the regiment was activated on 15 August 1942 and served in the European Theater, participating in campaigns such as the Northern France, Rhineland, and Central Europe operations.
