4 Tank Company 1940–1947 (World War II) The 4 Tank Company was a U.S. Army unit active during World War II. Constituted and organized as part of the Army’s armored force expansion, the company was involved in training and preparation for potential deployment. However, available records indicate that the 4 Tank Company did not see overseas combat service during the war. The unit was inactivated following the end of World War II as part of the Army’s postwar reorganization and demobilization.
