34th Signal Company 1940–1947 (World War II) The 34th Signal Company was constituted on 1 October 1933 in the Regular Army and later activated on 1 February 1942 at Camp Claiborne, Louisiana. Assigned to the 34th Infantry Division, the company provided essential communications support throughout the division’s operations during World War II. The 34th Signal Company participated in major campaigns in the European Theater, including North Africa, Naples-Foggia, Anzio, Rome-Arno, North Apennines, Po Valley, and Rhineland. Following the end of hostilities, the company was inactivated on 3 November 1945 at Camp Patrick Henry, Virginia.
