Unit History

The 10th Signal Battalion was constituted on 1 October 1933 in the Regular Army as the 10th Signal Company. It was activated on 1 June 1941 at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey. During World War II, the unit was reorganized and redesignated as the 10th Signal Battalion on 1 March 1944. The battalion participated in several campaigns in the European Theater, including Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes-Alsace, and Central Europe. After the war, the battalion was inactivated on 20 October 1945 at Camp Patrick Henry, Virginia. It was later reactivated and has continued to serve in various capacities, supporting Army communications and signal operations.
