10th Signal Battalion 1940–1947 (World War II) The 10th Signal Battalion was constituted on 10 January 1942 in the Army of the United States and activated on 1 February 1942 at Camp Crowder, Missouri. During World War II, the battalion provided critical communications support for U.S. Army operations in the European Theater. It participated in several campaigns, including Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes-Alsace, and Central Europe. The battalion was inactivated on 20 December 1945 in Germany following the end of hostilities.
