The XIX Corps was a corps of the United States Army that was activated during World War II. It was first constituted on 1 October 1933 in the Organized Reserves and later activated on 1 August 1942 at Camp Polk, Louisiana. The XIX Corps played a significant role in the European Theater of Operations, participating in major campaigns including Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes-Alsace, and Central Europe. The corps was instrumental in the breakout from Normandy and the subsequent advance across France, Belgium, the Netherlands, and into Germany.
