Unit History

The 387th Field Artillery Regiment was constituted in the National Army on 5 September 1918 and assigned to the 97th Division. It was organized at Camp Cody, New Mexico, but was demobilized on 30 November 1918 following the end of World War I. The regiment was reconstituted on 24 June 1921 in the Organized Reserves as the 387th Field Artillery and assigned again to the 97th Division.
