Unit History

The 213th Coast Artillery Regiment (Anti-Aircraft) was a unit of the United States Army National Guard. It was originally organized in 1917 as the 213th Artillery, Coast Artillery Corps, and was federally recognized on 1 July 1924. The regiment was based in Pennsylvania and was part of the Pennsylvania National Guard. During World War II, the 213th Coast Artillery Regiment was mobilized for active federal service on 16 September 1940. The unit was tasked with providing anti-aircraft defense for key installations and areas within the United States.
