Unit History

The 203rd Coast Artillery Regiment (Anti-Aircraft) was a unit of the United States Army National Guard. It was originally organized as the 2nd Infantry Regiment, Missouri National Guard, and was redesignated as the 203rd Coast Artillery (Anti-Aircraft) Regiment in 1924. The regiment was federally recognized and headquartered in Joplin, Missouri. During World War II, the 203rd was mobilized for active duty in 1940 and served in various locations within the United States, providing anti-aircraft defense for key installations.
